Safety

Safety on an off the water is of paramount importance. There are risks with canoeing, and your guide is very aware of this and will always put your safety as the highest priority. If the conditions are deemed too hazardous your trip may be cancelled or postponed to a later date. Winding River Canoe is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority for the adventure activities specified on our licence. Our guides hold appropriate paddlesport leadership, coaching, rescue and first-aid qualifications. This means that your guide has had thorough training in leading groups on the water, and has passed stringent assessments including aquatic First Aid. Rest assured you will be well looked after, but do get in touch if you've any concerns.
